Description | Application of communication theory and practice to the public speaking context, with emphasis on audience analysis, speaker delivery, ethics of communication, cultural diversity, and speech organizational techniques to develop students' speaking abilities, as well as ability to effectively evaluate oral presentations. | ||||||||

Attendance Policy |
Students are expected to attend class, arriving on time and ready to participate. I do not have excused or unexcused absence. There are natural consequences that happen when you are absent, e.g. missing lecture material, discussion of assignments, class discussion, etc. Students are responsible for information missed because of being tardy or absent. This includes assignment details, lecture notes, and picking up graded assignments. Students are responsible for submitting all assignments on or before the due dates. |
